The Dark Series – the Carpathians
This month we are doing individual group discussion for every series. This page is for our beloved Carpathians. Post a comment about anything and everything that is the Dark Series. Discuss your favorite book, favorite character, what you liked or didn’t like.
My favorite book in the Dark Series is Dark Slayer. It had everything you would want in a book. Excitement, adventure, a great heroine and hero, so many of our favorite Carpathians played huge roles in the book, excellent villains, and a great ending.
My favorite Carpathian is tough to choose, so here are my favorites:
Male: Gregori, Julian, Lucian, Dimitri
Female: Ivory, Francesca, Natalya, Raven, Shea

Other notable books for me are; Dark Magic, Dark Challenge, Dark Fire, Dark Melody, Dark Secret, Dark Demon, Dark Celebration, Dark Curse and Dark Predator
Other notable Carpathians for me are; Gregori(loved him since Dark Prince), Darius(yes Sandy, I dared to type his name, he's always impressed me) ;-) , Julian, Dayan, and all the DLC boys
Nice post, Marcie. Funny at your list of books, I think you are like most of us, we love them all. Well most of them. To me Dark Peril and Dark Predator were good, but not as good as many of the earlier ones.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite Dark book has to be Celebration because everyone's in it!!! That book should have been 1000 pages...
Too many to choose from, but oh so fun to list!!! Mikhail was my first swoon, so he will forever be my 1A, but GREGORI is who I LUST for, so he is 1B. Aidan Savage, although you could just throw in Julian, too! Gabriel/Lucian, and in reverse order, on alternate days, too. VIKIRNOFF!!!!!! VIKIRNOFF!!!!! And VIKIRNOFF!!!!!! Dayan is special, too, because he reminds me of Albert.

Dark Gardian, Dark Fire, Dark Destiny, Dark Slayer, Dark Curse, Dark Peril and Dark Predator.
My favorite Carpathians:
Dimitri, Dominic Dragonseeker, Lucian, Gabriel, Gregori & Darius Datratrazanoff. Nicolas De La Cruz, Razvan Dragonseeker, Mikhail Dubrinski, Dayan, Aidan savage, Nicolae Von Shrieder. :) Until I get to read about another male Carpathian, these are my favorites.
I have a crush on: lol...
Dimitri, Dominic Dragonseeker, the DD's (Delicious Daratrazanoff's brothers, and yes ladies I mean all of them. :) ) and Razvan Dragonseeker.
PS: Sorry Sandy, but what can I tell you the man is just so appealing to me in so many wasy just like his brothers. ;)
@Mia everyone has a favorite Dara Brother.. it can't be helped they are just scrumptious.. I like Gabriel myself.. In a way he is the "least" of the Dara brothers.. you know the other twin, lol.. but he is great!! and then there is Vik.. oh yeah.. in case you didn't know it my real name is Natalya I just use Shauni to fool the masses.. *grins*

And yeah Nicolas.. he is the best of the DLC's
and one can NEVER EVER forget Mikhail.. the man shoots laser type rays from his body for pete's sake..
Kayla, I think everyone agrees that Celebration was a wonderful and I too would have loved if it had been longer. Too bad Christine says sit was the hardest book she had to do, since she had to find parts to put all the characters in. So though many of us ask about another like it, she doesn't never, but highly doubtful. :(

ReplyDeleteI loved each book for different reasons. Each story brings a different level to the continuous storyline. Of course there are a couple of books that aren't my fav....(Dark Symphony) but I really love them all....
But...time for the list:
Dark Melody - Dayan...*sigh*
I loved him. In the beginning of his book when he is walking across the room to get to Corinne, he says he NEEDED to touch her. I thought I would melt into a puddle reading that.
Dark Curse - Nicolas... *hot, steamy sigh* He is so in your face, or rather, in his lifemate's face....hahaha.
Dark Slayer - Razvan
Lucien, Gabriel, Mikhail, Gregori, Vikirnoff...
Loved Falcon, Dark Dream was very romantic for me.
Rafael was another alpha male that I liked and I normally don't like a very dominant male. But the way Christine wrote the DeLaCruz men, you can't help but love them.
Dark Celebration - LOVED this book. Reading about each couple that I had come to love was wonderful. We need more like this, although I know if was hard for Christine to write this one.
Dark Desire: Jacques....Living thru his torture....this story was so well written as far as describing everything, I almost struggled to read it and his character scared me at first. But I love Jacques and how he tries to overcome what happened to him.
Um, did I leave any out??? LOL
I love them all. I did deliberately leave out one "D" Carpathian. I currently have a restraining order issued against me by Sandy, which states I am not allowed to say his name or bite his backside...again.
I have been enchanted by the Carpathian world since my journey began with Dark Prince.
*hands on hips , tapping left foot*....and Tricia....the restraining order is STILL in place.....lol

ReplyDeleteThis website looks fantastic! I am new to "talking" on line. Only used computer for work B4. I can't pick one favorite either. My least favorite is Zacarius...I hope I like him & Margarite better when I read it the 2nd time! She doesn't seem as special as the other lifemates. Kind of ordinary?
I don't feel she is a match for him or could begin to handle him like the other women handle their guys.
