Book Synopsis
Setting: Modern New Orleans
Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn’t. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior’s day.
As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander’s sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and into the world. She taught me to love again.
But I wasn’t born to know love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As an ancient Greek general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace– the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two-thousand-year-old curse?

This was the first SK book I ever read (basically because it was at the beginning of the pack... always start with the first... love SK books.
ReplyDeleteI had actually read some of her Kinley MacGregor stuff.. The Macallisters.. well some of that series then for a while I bounced back and forth. I didn't start on the Dark Hunters until Wolf's Book.. oh I read them all in order (seriously, can you imagine me reading out of order?) but Wolff's book had not come out yet.
DeleteI actually read Wren's book first, and I don't regret it! :D, but Julian truly captured me and I fell madly in love with this series!!!!
ReplyDeleteSomething about "firsts" for me: Julian, Mikhail, Ryland Miller, Zac Todd, etc....
Anyway...Julian and Grace were great together. When Grace took the time to get to the heart of Julian and realize he hated being used, it just gave him such depth. I found the book to be quite romantic and swoon-worthy, naturally! ;)
We're also treated to his very special friendship with Kyrian and of course, Acheron, etc...I LOVE Fantasy Lover and EVERY cameo Julian made in the series. Yes, swooning for Julian..............
I am so hooked on these books!!! I just finished Night Embrace, and started reading this moring Dance with Devil!!!! I so love the Camaraderie between the guys!! Julian is a Love!! Kyrian is so Yummy and Talon My heart broke for his story, but so loved the way it ended!!! I feel for Zarek with akk that he has been through, no wonder he hates everyone, look at what happened in his young life!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh me too!! I promise I will get more up soon!! I have had great discussions with so very many different groups on this series... well on any of Sherrie's Books.. I haven't read a bad one
DeleteHi, Kitty! Your passion is one that mirrors my own. Zarek is to die for!!! You will LOVE him without a doubt. ;)
DeleteNow I am a Sin girl.. *sigh* even his name screams Decadence..
DeleteOhhh gotta love Zarek!! His story is so much like someone else I so love!! Kyrian was my first for this series, and of course I HAD to get them all in one form or another, still have a few to go but that is ok. It gives me something to look forward to. As well as the branch offs like the Dream Hunters, oh my yes.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you thought of this Shauni!!!
