Only Mine, A Review
The Secret is Out About Fool's Gold!
After a student published her findings on the lack of male bodies in the town of Fool's Gold, the word is out and men are filing into to town by the bus full. No really, they are! Men are seeking "desperate" women from the town and looking for "love." Now, there is a reality TV show coming to Fool's Gold with the idea of people looking for true love.
Dakota Hendrix has lived her entire life in Fool's Gold except for the time she went to college. She mostly has a great and wonderful life. She is a triplet and loves her sisters dearly. Her brothers are good to her and her brother Ethan is happier than she has ever seen him. Although she has the "perfect" life, Dakota can't help but feel like she is missing out on the things that really matter. Now she has been put in charge of making sure that the show doesn't take over the town and make them all look foolish.
Finn Anderson has spent most of his early adult life taking care of his younger twin bothers. All they have to do is graduate from college and then he can stop worrying about them and worry about his own life. But they have mucked everything up by dropping out of college the last semester before graduation and going down to this crazy town called, Fool's Gold, to be apart of a dumb reality show.
After barging into Dakota Hendrix's office demanding she not allow his brothers to participate in the show, Finn is captivated by Dakota's beauty and her ability to stand up to him. Finn came down to Fool's Gold to drag his brothers back to Alaska to finish up college but he stays there to get to know Dakota. She is like a siren calling to him. She has scars that call to him like no other. Finn must decide if he can let his brothers live their own lives. He must figure out if he can be there emotionally for Dakota and not just physically. Can he, *gulp*, love her?
Susan Mallery does it again with her fourth book in the wonderful Fool's Gold series. Only Mine is funny and sweet. The romance sweeps you off your feet. In this book we get a nice little side story of one of the other women living in the town. Two stories for the price of one! Dakota's story will have you stuck to your seat needing to know what is going to happen next. Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions. A Must Read Indeed!
