Only Yours, A Review

Montana Hendrix has gone through many grueling jobs to finally come across the career that is perfect for her. She now helps train dogs to become therapy dogs for sick and handicapped people. Montana has never been happier. She loves her town, her job, her friends and her family. Now all she has to do is find a man to love too. Yeah right, like that is going to happen in the small town of Fool's Gold. Montana just has to accept that not everyone can be as lucky as her sister, Dakota.

Simon Bradley has traveled the world making sure that children never have to have the scars that he attained as a child. Well, the psychical scars at least. He has made it his life's mission to help children heal as close to normal as possible so that the chance of a normal life is in their future. He has never stayed in any place longer than needed and never makes ties to people. People are just there to serve certain basic needs and that is all. Everyone is replaceable.

One day, a giant beast storms into his hospital wing and runs right up to a patient who is very sick. Simon is outraged by such dismissal of sanitary needs and by the disorder that the "dog" has caused. Simon is even more outraged by the tiny little blond who has no problem speaking her mind to him and telling him just what she thinks about his "order".

Immediately Simon is trapped in Montana's spell and has to constantly remind himself that he is only here for a short time. He doesn't need anyone. Only, Montana seems to think that she needs to make him laugh and smile. She sooths his scars inside and out. She scares the crap out of him. Simon must decide if he can finally stay in once place or if his scars run too deep for him to ever be able to heal.

Susan Mallery brings us the captivating story of Simon and Montana in book five of her Fool's Gold series. Love is tested at every corner. Simon is a tragic character who you can not help but fall for instantly. Montana is a perfect foil for him. Her witty comebacks are great and her capacity for love is inspiring. A wonderfully addition to the Fool's Gold series.  A Must Read Indeed!

Happy Reading!

  1. I haven't read any of the 'Fool's Gold Romances'. I thought it was a Christian series! Is that the case? (Shows what I know??)
