It's Wednesday that means
it's time for another WWW WEDNESDAY
Post!
Remember there are no rules, you can Write Whatever strikes your fancy.
Remember there are no rules, you can Write Whatever strikes your fancy.
Let's do this old school style and ask a few questions...
What are you reading?
Will you tell everyone about the book that you are reading?
Who do you want to see featured?
What is the book that you are impatiently waiting for to come out?
Where do you buy your books/e-books?
What is the book that you have re-read the most?
What do you (or do you) sacrifice, in order to read?
So for me,
I am reading Fated, by Rebbecca Zanetti
Heck yes I will tell everyone! I love this book! It is wonderful.
I would like some feedback on men that you all would like to see for Talk about Thursdays, I have a long list but want to please you all :)
I can not wait for Kresley Cole's new YA series to come out! It looks like it is going to be so good! Plus another IAD book. The last book in Lauren Kate's Fallen series comes out this month too! I have been following that series from the beginning.
I am a Barnes & Nobel girl, I love that store. I even buy my e-books from there. My next choice is Target and then I go to the used book store.
Oh lord, this is a hard one. I have read Night Play by SK, A LOT! I don't know if I could count, a close second would be Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, followed by Part two of Acheron. That would just be the top three, there are so many more.
Sleep. If I want to read a book and there are too many things to do during the day, the first thing to go is sleep. I have pulled many all nighters reading because I knew I wouldn't have the time the next day to read. The next thing to go is folding my laundry. Hey it's clean! That's good, right?
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Lisa :)

I am reading Kiss the Dead by Laurell K. Hamilton, book "who effing cares anymore" in the Anita Blake series. ;D
ReplyDeleteI WILL share what I am reading because this series is so controversial.
The "who do I want to see featured"??? Is that from the particular book that I'm reading or on this website??? I'm going to go with my gut and say it pertains to what I'm reading. Having said that: I want JEAN-CLAUDE to tell Anita Blake to piss off! Never going to happen, but I'd be most pleased. :)
I cannot wait for Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness!!!!!! A Discovery of Witches was so phenomenal, the next installment is sure to deliver brilliance as well. And Richelle Mead is coming out with a new adult series now that her Succubus and fae series' are over. :(
I buy my ebooks from AMAZON, baby! Love my Kindle and their site. (Special wink ;) to Shauni!!!)
Hmmm...I'd have to say Twilight.
Sleep, like Lisa, and sometimes, maybe too often, :(, hanging out with Sophie and Liv. Bad mom, Bad mom! (Sophia's standing right next to me and says "You're right, Mom -- you do suck") LOL!!!!
You are an awesome MOM.. remember that.. Sophie is such a riot!
DeleteI love your perspective on the books you are reading can't wait to hear your thoughts..
LOL I've lost my fair share of sleep because of my delicious reads.
ReplyDeleteI feel like as a mom I never really sleep anyway, so it is really the easiest thing for me to give up.
ReplyDeleteCan't Wait to hear your thoughts Carmen on Anita Blake.
Well because this is "say what's on your mind thing" does anyone else feel like after reading Born on Silence that every book you read now if someone gets kidnapped you are convinced that they are going to get raped and horribly tortured? I have been like that with EVERY book. I am almost sweating praying that a foreign object the character sees isn't used against them. I think that book has seriously made me.more jaded when I read now.
Every book? not sure if I agree with that BUT I do see your point.. Too many people use Kenyon as their road map.. if Sherrie does it so must they. Problem is, when Sherrie does it as horrible as it is, it works.. with others.. not so much..
DeleteSleep Schmeep.. who needs sleep? as I am sure you can tell with our late night Skypes.. I tend to forget to sleep
Its not that I think every book I read IS like that, it is just that I am worried that something horrible that is going to scar me IS going to happen. When Hope got kidnapped in Hopes Betrayal, I just knew that what's his name was going to rape and beat her before Huntley could get to her. Thank God that didn't happen but I was soooo effing worried for her to the point that I made myself keep reading to get the torture over with. Does that make sense?
DeleteI did notice that you indeed do not put sleep up there with important. Ahahaha! I don't know how you do it! I was dead the whole next day.
Fran :)
DeleteI promise to look into those people. We aim to please, keep a look out.
Reading now Slave to Sensation by Singh
ReplyDeleteJust starting it but it is an attention grabber the first in the phy/changling series.
I would like to see Kim Harrison's Hollows series or Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake or Meridith Gentry series done.
Waiting for with great eagerness Dark Storm and Leopard's Prey by Christine Feehan
I am a Banes and Noble girl for all my books and E books . Buy very seldom anywhere else.
Have reread the Dark series to many times to count and all of Feehans series except the GW's just one read on those. I am getting so many new authors don't do a lot of rereading anymore.
Fran I think you will absolutely LOVE the Psy/Changling series.. Nalini Singh does an awesome job
DeleteThat's my next series!!! ;)
DeleteI am devouring all things Donna Fletcher More Highlanders!!
ReplyDeleteI Love to share what I am reading (so happy that Lisa is lovin Rebecca Zanetti
I am never sure what I want to see featured just love that you and Carmen have such great ideas.. Although I do like the Character Complex posts.. I would suggest Devil Cynster
I am waiting for.. Time Untime (Kenyon), Sweet Talk (Julie Garwood) Wilder (Christina Dodd) AND The new McNaught Book! Hope it is really coming out..
I tend to purchase my books at Amazon.. used to love Borders but haven't gotten as into B&N..
I tend to reread Kenyon and Feehan because their series are so intricate and who am I kidding I love their stuff.. Oh and Anne Bishop's Black Jewels.. and CL Wilson's Tairen Soul and...
Great post Lisa.. thanks for making me think
I don't know who Devil Cynster is but I will find out and see what I can do! I was just telling Carmen we need to start workng on a new Character Complex. :)
DeleteHighlanders.....swooooon!!!!!
I really could reread anything Kenyon. Minus, BOS And Strykers book. Other than that I am all over her like white on rice.
Shauni...you had me at Highlanders. Donna Fletcher, huh? Never heard...excited to hear! ;)
DeleteShauni keeps talking about Devil, doesn't she??? Just because he's AMAZING, that's all. Do yourself a favor, friend, and read Devil's Bride. WOW. WOW. WOW. LOVE HIM. Swoooooooooooooooon..........
DeleteHey I think I have that book! If I can ever get a grip on my reading then I will move him on up to the top! Is it an entire series about one man?
DeleteThat's cuz Devil is freakin amazing!! He is one of the best romance heroes out there!! Sensual, decadent, delightful and completely committed to family. Seriously how hot is that? Stephanie Laurens does a brilliant job
DeleteOkay! I am going to read him next then! I have been so busy this week I have not been able to read with my normal gusto. :(
DeleteI hope next week is better
But the Devil is next!
I am reading the McCabe Brothers trilogy by Maya Banks,.....FINALLY!!!! I am swooning over each brother.
ReplyDeleteI love to share what I am reading. I just finished 5 YA books in a row, welcome back adult smexy books....
I don't care what man gets a post, as long as it's a man!! Yes, Julie is having a dry spell.....
I am waiting for anything Richelle Mead writes, Shadow of Night and Time Undone.
I tend to reread Georgette Heyer Regency Romances, Ransom by Julie Garwoood and A Kingdom of her Own....
I am a Barnes and Noble fan, books and Nook.....
I will sacrifice an immaculate house at the moment. The girls are about to move out anyway......then I will clean!!! I can't sacrifice sleeping, I am a biotch in the morning!! lol
Great post!!!
Julie! Ahahahahahaha!!!!!!! You are so freaking funny!
DeleteWhat YA books? I am so behind on my beloved YA section.
Girl, make sure you are on here tomorrow, I Have a big treat for you all! And I mean BIG!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
So Happy that everyone is enjoying the post.
JULIE....Which McCabe brother are you on??? To freaking die for!!!!! VERY SWOOOOOON-WORTHY!!!!!
DeleteDid you say BIG, Lisa??? Let's think....Mr. Big??? Boo...I have nothing else. LMAO.
LOVING the post, Lisa! ;)
Julie, you're so going to be mad that I'm asking you AGAIN, but you're in Utah and I'm in Southern California, your hometown....:)....which "Brothers" romance series did you and Joan recommend to me a while back??? McCloud???
DeleteBIG as in a very large man! Just wait! I think he is to die for! He is one of my favorites!
DeleteCarmen, I am reading Seduction of a Highlander, Alaric's book!! Ewan was so swooon-worthy, I have high hopes for all three McCabes!!
DeleteThe series is by Shannon McKenna and it is the McCloud Brothers that are HAWT!! The first book is Behind Closed Doors. This is ironic, but it doesn't have a brother as the hero! lol It's their friend Seth!! BTW, you can't take the blonde out of So Cal!! I need to come back, I'm getting roots in Utah! *horror*
Lisa, I want to see a BIG large man!! Which part of his anatomy are we talkin' about? just askin' LMAO
I have the McCabe's on my radar not sure why they keep slipping back down the TBR pile.. but they are on it..
DeleteAAHAHAHAHAHA! Julie! ahahaha! I am assuming that there is NOTHING small about this man! Hope on over to the main page and check him out! It was so hard to stop posting pictures of him.
DeleteLisa, I forgot to tell you the YA books! City of Fallen Angels (very good), Bitterblue (very good), Insurgent (very good), Touch of Frost (good) and To Ride a Puca (meh).
ReplyDeleteRem just read Tigerlily by Jodi Lynn Anderson and The Iron King by Julie Kagawa.. I got them for her at RT and she loved both of them
DeleteI stoped reading the City books after...City of Glass? Is that the third one? I guess I need to pick that series back up. The whole, are they brother and sister or aren't they, drove me bonkers!
DeleteI will look into the other ones.
