Oh Sherrie has some fun news for us from the world of Dark Hunters.. We all know that Styxx is the DH book this year and yes many of us are conflicted.. do we really want to learn about Styxx?? Well if you are sitting on the fence, this latest blurb from Sherrilyn Kenyon might help you make up your mind.

Styxx launch update. The release date for Styxx has not changed. It's still set for 9/3/13. But those who attend the launch party at DragonCon (you do *NOT* have to purchase a DragonCon membership/pass to attend the launch party, but Sherri will be attending DC that entire weekend+Monday and will be hanging out with fans and appearing at additional signings, the parade and on various panels throughout the weekend) can get the book early on Aug 29, 2013. So the Styxx launch party is Aug 29, 2013 in the Marriott Marquis on Courtland in Atlanta, GA. The Styxx tour will begin on 9-3-13 with the official on-sale date for the book. We don't have the cities where Sherri and Dianna will be yet during the Styxx tour, but will post those as soon as we have them. (raise your hands if you are already trying to figure out how to get there)
2013 is the year of Styxx (and that is the title of the book) and those who loved Acheron, won't want to miss this book as Acheron is a HUGE part of it from beginning to end. You will see a lot of scenes with Ash and Styxx, along with the Atlantean and Greek gods, that have never appeared in previous books and this includes a lot about Ash's and Styxx's childhood, both together and separate. And like Acheron, the book is huge in size. And it answers a lot of questions about the series and some of the more complicated relationships. Like Ash, Styxx is a very complicated character and we will be having snippets and other fun tidbits in the months leading up to the release of the book. Sherri will be making appearances online to answer questions about the twins soon, too. (are you still fence sitting? Or are you pulling your hair waiting for September.. and no, no matter what you do you can not time travel)
So to reiterate the release of Styxx is Tuesday, 9-3-13, but the release/launch party with prizes, costume contest, characters, etc. is Thursday, 8-29-13 in Atlanta at the Marriott Marquis.

Damn I can't time travel Shauni. Thanks for bursting my bubble, LOL!!! Oh I so want to go to that book launch but I know I won't be able too. Just too hectic at work at that time and by then I will have spent my trip budget. I'll just have to read everyone elses posts and look at their pics online while diving head first into Styxx's book. You know even though I've been mad at Styxx ever since I read Ash's book, I've always wanted a story for Styxx to learn his side of things and get more Ash of course. Now my wish is coming true and I can't wait. I'm on pins and needles waiting for this one.

Um.....so I think I am going home in Aug!!!! I am so ready for this book! I for one am routing for Styxx!!! I don't blame him at all. He was a product of his environment and he deserves a HEA! Dang it!

DeleteIf we are going product of one's environment then you have to forgive Stryker as well.. as he too was a product of his environment.. but it comes down to more than that.. yes Styxx was an idiot but at his worst really all he was, was a bully.. and in the end when shown the real truth he begged forgiveness and THAT is why he deserves a HEA..
Oh yeah and if Stryker deserves one then so does Styxx
Why would you mention that Dickhead?? I think with Stryker I just don't like him at all. I didn't like his wife and I didn't like his daughter. Or his sister or his effing douchbag father. Maybe if his mate were sweet or funny or brought out the good in him? I don't know. I just think that when it comes to Styxx I do remember him helping save Tori and seeing how he was wrong and trying to pledge himself to Ash. I see someone who took forever to realize he was an ass and bully and collosal jerk and is trying to make amenze. I just have a spft spot for him. Same goes with Nick.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like any of the above mentioned characters either BUT I have said many times his book made him understandable.. it gave great insight to his character and explained why he fell so far. Believing as he did that he gave up everything for love and then had everyone betray him..
DeleteShauni, I want to go to the RT convention too!! Isn't it in Missouri this year? I know the topic is Styxx and seeing Sherrie!! I agree with Lisa, why are we happy that Dickhead got a HEA?? His wife is a B....!!!!! I am happy for Styxx. I hope that his story is amazing!

DeleteJules thinks about it.. we can fit four to a room.. and if you can get to Denver where we will be picking up Carmen (cuz I s/be in WY by then) then we can carpool. Driving is great cuz then there will be room for the tons of books you get!!

DeleteIt is really really cool.. seriously 5plus days of people with Romance in all forms in common and let me tell you all five days and not one single bad moment and that says a lot.. Everyone was just so happy to be there!

DeleteI think all long lived series are going to ebb and flow.. There will be some strong favorites and some that just hold their place. There will be some that everyone LOVES.. and some that only a select few like or even non.. It has to be hard to maintain this kind of series.. overall Sherrie has done a fabulous job. *grins*
ps.. I wonder if I shout loud enough about Sherrie if I can get an invite to the launch (you know the kind I don't have to pay for).. *sigh* hey, it could happen.
Looking forward to this book coming out, and it is coming at a time when I believe I may actually have time to read it... love that idea. Anyone who goes to to RT convention, enjoy.
